About the NIRMA Scholarship
Our mission is to spread awareness of Records and Information Management (RIM) as a career path to draw talent toward the nuclear industry with a sustainable scholarship that can be offered annually.
At the 2023 NIRMA Symposium, NEI expressed that they are anticipating a skilled labor shortage for all professions in Nuclear. This is based on current trends in nuclear energy demand and innovation. The NIRMA Professional Development Business Unit (PDBU) is starting a NIRMA Scholarship to encourage RIM professionals in graduate school to consider a career in nuclear. This will benefit NIRMA by promoting our organization to the next generation of members and helping offset this anticipated skilled labor shortage.
The inaugural scholarship will be available for the 2025 Fall Semester.
AWARD AMOUNT: $1000 to be awarded to the winner plus an invitation to attend the NIRMA Symposium as a guest.
